One of our favorite parts about calling the District home isn’t the monuments or the museums or the Mall. What we love most are some of the small-scale makers creating best-in-the-biz products that we get to enjoy.
Enter Atlas Brew Works.
Started in 2013 and since grown to produce about 1,800 gallons of beer a day (that’s 700-800 cases), Atlas is on a seriously awesome journey. Inspired by steampunk culture and committed to bold, hops-focused beers, the crew at Atlas is also focused on sustainable practices. All of the brewery’s spent grain goes to a farmer in Poolesville, MD, and the business’s emphasis on canned beer is based in a commitment to recycling.
Now, you might have sampled a certain hoppy, rye-focused brew at your go-to Cava Grill – that’s The Rowdy, one of the Atlas team’s favorites (and one of ours, too).
Just like we work with our friends Gordy’s Pickle Jar, Whisked!, and Runningbyrd Tea to bring you the best our city has to offer, we’re bringing you some of the best beer in DC, too.
Stop by the tasting room next time you have an open weekend afternoon!
