Before we launched our very first Richmond, VA, location, we knew we wanted to — or rather, needed to — get to know our new city. We’re the new ones in town, and there are so many talented and ground-breaking business owners and creators in RVA. Those who know so much more than we do about what makes Richmond live and breathe and exude charm.

One of those dynamic makers, our Richmond baker partner Morgan Botwinick of Whisk Bakery, generously offered to help us host an intimate gathering in her charming Shockoe Bottom café before we debuted our Grace Street location. So we gathered some old friends, and plenty of new ones, around the table for a feast. Chef Dimitri crafted a killer menu punctuated with flavors like addictive Crazy Feta grilled cheese, vibrant beets, luscious Spicy Turmeric Tahini, and Border Springs Farm lamb. Morgan had guests raving over ice cream sandwiches made with the same incredible Chocolate Chip Cookie available for purchase in our new location. We laughed, we indulged, and we learned — about what makes Richmond tick and what makes it such an exciting place for us to be.

And we are so truly excited — to call Richmond our new home and to be so generously welcomed by our new community. We’re going to stay awhile, because these people are our people.

Thanks to everyone who joined us!

We’re committed to building relationships with friends + partners in our communities — after all, our founders were childhood friends and the support they got from their own community is how we got to where we are today.

Special thanks to our partners Whisk, Hardywood, Early Mountain Vineyards, and Border Springs Farm.CAVA x Whisk Richmond Preview GatheringCAVA x Whisk Richmond Preview GatheringCAVA x Whisk Richmond Preview GatheringCAVA x Whisk Richmond Preview GatheringCAVA x Whisk Richmond Preview GatheringCAVA x Whisk Richmond Preview GatheringCAVA x Whisk Richmond Preview GatheringCAVA x Whisk Richmond Preview Gathering
