Awesome podcast alert! Interested in how food can bring people together? Check out Gastropod, created by fellow foodies Cynthia Graber and Nicola Twilley, who use science and history to examine food and agriculture in a creative way (learn more from Grist). We’ll be listening.

Coming from someone who wrote about how to be a happier and more calm individual for a year for her job, this assemblage of happiness tips from Lindsey Holmes is pretty valuable. One standout tip: Smile or interact with strangers.

We whipped up this amazingly flavorful dip earlier this week, and we know it’ll be the perfect compliment to crusty baguettes, savory crackers, pretty much whatever vehicle you throw at it. Add the Gordy’s Cherry Pepper Spread stirred into it and we’re sold.

Thought yogurt was just a breakfast food (or an ingredient in our sriracha Greek yogurt sauce)? Think again. We’ll be trying yogurt atop salads, in dips, dolloped over tacos, you name it.
