Happy Friday! Here’s our top V/5 this week:

1) Edible DC | Fall 2014

As the fall chill starts to set in, we’re drawing inspiration from all things Edible DC — features include a look into the Rappahannock County food scene, one of Mat Ramsey’s storied Porn Burgers, and a showcase of culinary incubator space Union Kitchen – where our Whisked! cookies and Runningbyrd teas are made!

2) This Month’s Best New Cookbooks | PBS

Recipe inspiration, anyone? PBS has this great roundup of all the cookbooks coming out this month — we’re particularly excited about Food & Wine’s Best of the Best.

3) Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato, and Pumpkin Recipes that Prove Orange Really Is the New Black | Bon Appetit

We know this time of year becomes overkill season for orange food — but you really can’t blame us for getting on the bandwagon with all these beautiful options to choose from. This roasted sweet potato and kale salad is at the top of our list.

4) America is Becoming a Nation of Tea Drinkers | Washington Post

We’ve always known favored tea for its nutritional benefits, but it seems the versatile sipper is starting to makes serious ground on coffee. You’ll never guess how much tea consumption has jumped since 2000.

5) The Open Road: Photography and the American Road Trip | David Campany

We were intrigued after reading this New York Times article, and now Campany’s inspiring book is at the top of our list. The hauntingly beautiful photos are enough to bring out the wanderlust in all of us.
